You can listen to a podcast describing one of our recent papers in the journal Palliative Medicine below. Merryn argues that public health approaches to palliative care need to consider how to build social networks for people dying in advanced age and their family and whānau. These findings provided the impetus for our recent project exploring loneliness and social isolation among older people.

For more information, and a full copy of the paper if you can’t access it directly, please email Merryn: m.gott@auckland.ac.nz. The study was funded by the Health Research Council of New Zealand.
